JLG Scissor Lift Hydraulics

Although some JLG models include hydraulics, they are not a large part of this product design.

There are many different models of scissor lift, some which even include hydraulics. Although some JLG models include hydraulics, they are not a large part of this product design. Hydraulics are primarily incorporated in the companies line of boom lifts known as the Telehandler, a hybrid lift which acts as a boom lift with a basket.

The JLG Telehandler has the best of both worlds, superior lift capacity, high lifting height, and a roomy cab for the equipment operator. Included in this family of products is the Transformer, a Telehandler that can be completely operated from the platform and converted into a boom lift. Hydraulics are used on this machine to help gently place loads as well as to make the ride smoother.

Hydraulics do not play a huge part in JLG’s scissor lift models. Scissor lifts that include hydraulics are usually small, and therefore not practical for use on construction sites except perhaps to transport smaller heavy items. In place of hydraulics JLG lifts use an intricate design structure which is strong enough to handle thousands of pounds.

The industry leader in heavy equipment and aerial work platforms is JLG. This big player in the equipment industry has stayed on top with such innovative designs as the Telehandler and Skytrak. There is no doubt that this dominance will continue.
