Nicarry founded the company in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania in 1947. Its start was modest; manufacturing farm wagons with rubber tires in a rented garage.

Gove now has dealers and distribution centers around the world. Its largest installations overseas include its facilities in Tonneins, France and Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
